Biography
After completing an apprenticeship as a machine fitter and studying industrial design at the Werkkunstschule in Wuppertal, Günter Beltzig founded 'Brüder Beltzig Design' with his brothers Berthold and Ernst. Having designed electrical appliances for Siemens for many years, he specialized in plastic furniture design in his own company. Since 1971 he held several guest lectureships, for example at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, Halle and at the Leeds Highschool for Design. Since 1994 he also was a freelancer at Richter Spielgeräte in Frasdorf.
