Biography
Born in Milan in 1936, Cesare Casati is an architect, designer and journalist. In addition to his designs, especially in lighting design, he is particularly well known for his work as editor of the groundbreaking design magazine Domus, which he headed from 1976-79. From 1999, he worked in various positions for the Accademia di Brera in Milan and the University of Valle Giulia in Rome. He curated various exhibitions for both universities. The 'Pillola' floor lamps from 1968, in collaboration with Emanuele Ponzio, are still among his best-known designs in the field of design.
