Biography
Franca Helg, born in Milan in 1920, was one of the femail pioneers in the world of architecture. As early as 1945, she received her degree in architecture from the Politechnico Milan. In industrial design, her name is usually linked with Franco Albini, with whom she worked from 1951-1977. In addition to numerous lighting designs, the Rinascente department store in Rome, the thermal baths in Salsomaggiore and the Musei civici agli Eremitani in Padua came from her pen. She died in Milan in 1989.
