Daum Frères, Nancy. 'Vigne à l'automne, escargot' vase, 1904. H. 27.7 cm. Designed by Henri Bergé. Cased glass, clear, yellow and blue powder inclusions, red, deep blue, brown and green enamel fusions (vitrifications). Multiply etched pattern with autumnal vine, seven grapes made of cabochons, one applied French escargot on a leaf, worked with the wheel, rough ground, pattern lustred in places. Signed: DAUM NANCY, cross of Lorraine.
