Ewer 'Vigne Vierge', 1894

In the shape of a Chinese libation cup. H. 15.1 cm. Cased glass, colorless, dark green and amber brown, with powder and oxide inclusions and metal foil; fully wheel cut decor with branches, leaves and petals of Virginia creeper at night. Base with signature and date on an elaborately wheel carved blossoming branch in high relief: Emile Galle fecit 1894 (needle engraving).
