Vase for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair

H. 25.2 cm. Cased glass, green and seal red. Etched and gilded decor with rising lion, lilies and roses on the back. Bottom signed: Daum Nancy, Cross of Lorraine (engraved). Gilded silver mounting on the foot. Marked.: Minerva head (faint), manufacturer's mark.

The decor shows the coat of arms of Jean de Luxembourg-Ligny.
