Chryselephantine figure 'Footprints', c. 1925

Dancer in step position, her upper body bent backwards, arms stretched vertically. H. 57.6 cm (total). Bronze, cold painted, head, hands and feet of carved ivory. Sign: DH Chiparus (incised and rubbed). Composite base made of marble and onyx species.

Provenance: Duran, Madrid, January 27, 2010, since then in private ownership, Netherlands. Base slightly chipped.
