Catalogue

At the auction on June 12, collectors focused in particular on big names from the studio and art jewelry scene.

Giampaolo Babetto's ear studs in yellow gold with red pigment already attracted a number of interested parties in the run-up to the auction. The bidders raised the popular pieces from €2,500 to €5,500. Exceptional ear jewelry also attracted enthusiasm elsewhere. For example, the earrings in the shape of a nut with stars by Otto Jakob achieved a hammer price of €6,500.

Collectors selectively secured their favorites from the extensive range of works by Hermann Jünger. An early brooch with moonstone from 1969 was the focus of two bidders and achieved double its estimate with a hammer price of €5,000.

Delicate forms from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods were particularly sought after in the jewelry section. A historic shorty necklace with old-cut diamonds went to a new owner for €5,000.
