Large built-in cabinet from the 'Unité d'Habitation de Marseille'
Le Corbusier. Large built-in cabinet from the 'Unité d'Habitation de Marseille', c1949. H. 214 x 339 x 70 cm. Made by ATBAT (Atelier des batisseurs); Barbaris cabinetmakers, Ajaccio (probably). Wooden construction, applied chipboard on parts inside and outside the cabinet, five hinged doors, veneered block board, painted white, applied handles of oak; four sliding doors, plywood, painted white, applied handles of oak; guide rail of hardwood. Compartments inside, painted white.
From the original interior of the 'Unité d'habitation de Marseille. Former built-in cabinet. Back, left side and upper ending lost. However, these pieces can always be complemented.
