Emile Gallé, Nancy. Tall 'Sabot de Vénus' vase, 1890-94. H. 26.2 cm. Made in Meisenthal. Pale brown glass, optically blown. Etched and enamelled pattern with lady's slippers and fern. Japanesque pattern, translucid enamel and gold below the rim. Signed: Emile Gallé déposé (in an orchid).
