Josef Hoffmann. Small dish, c1909. H. 1 cm, D. 12.8 cm. Made by Wiener Werkstätte. Silver, open pattern. Marked: Diana's head (hexagon), WW, Rose mark, JH, AB in a circle. Engraved dedication: "Meinem Joachim am Konfirmationsmorgen 29. III. 1931 Mutter".
Provenance: From the interior of the Villa Schulenburg, Gera, designed by Henry van de Velde. One of Paul Schulenburg's sons' name was Joachim.
