Verrerie d'Art de Lorrain, Burgun, Schverer & Co., Meisenthal. 'Echoes of Hellas' vase, c1897. H. 14.2 cm. Designed by Eugène Kremer after Walter Crane's 'Echoes of Hellas'. Cased glass, amber and clear, dark blue powder inclusions. Multiply etched pattern, heightened with gold. Motifs: Lute player, girls at play, friezes with animals and palmettes. Signed: Cross of Lorraine, thistle, ribbon: VERRERIE D'ART DE LORRAINE B S & Co déposé.

Very well preserved.
