'Papillon' vase with pewter mounting by F. van Hauten Sohn, Bonn, c. 1898-1904
H. 30 cm. Glass, colorless, optically blown, opal white and raspberry pink powder inclusions, rolled in silver-yellow crushed glass, heavily matt luster in pearlescent and petrol. Pewter mounting with iris decoration. Marked: Crown, 1311, lion (embossed).
