Vase with two applied mythical creatures crawling up the wall; base and vase with engraved fish between stylized chrysanthemums in a Japanese style. Base signed on the side: E. Gallé à Nancy (engraved). Vase marked on the base: E. Léveillé ... 10 rue de la Paix Paris (engraved).

Helga Hilschenz-Mlynek refers to the relationship between Gallé and Léveillé: '(...) In his shop he offers glasses by Emile Gallé, among others. (...)', cf. Hilschenz-Mlynek/Ricke, Glassammlung Hentrich, Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf, Munich 1985, p. 307. In the 'Petit palais, musée des Beaux-arts de la ville de Paris' a vase of the same shape with enamel painting is part of the collection.
