Chryselephantine figure 'The Aristocrats', c. 1925

H. 47 cm, 49 x 15 cm (total). Bronze, cold painted, face, neck and hands of the woman made of carved ivory. Plinth signed: Prof. Poertzel, foundry signet of Preiss & Kassler, Berlin (embossed). Composite base made of onyx and slate.

Provenance: Private collection West Germany since 2012, auction Quittenbaum 105/894, previously private collection in the Netherlands.
