18K yellow gold. Woman's face made of carved ivory. Green transparent enamel, rich diamond and brilliant trim (approx. 1K), ruby pendant, movable body. 21.97 grams. 90 x 70 mm. Execution: Masriera y Carreras, Barcelona, before 1914. Marked: MASRIERA Y CARRERAS (on soldered gold plate, embossed), inspection mark.

Cf. Exh. cat. Els Masriera, Barcelona, 1996, p. 48, no. 121 ('Brooch/Pendant with woman/dragonfly-woman', around 1903). An EC certificate has been issued for this lot by the Department for Climate and Environmental Protection of the City of Munich, which allows objects with ivory to be marketed within the European Union.
