Claude Lalanne and Yves Saint Laurent, who were close friends, collaborated in 1969 on the fashion house's fall/winter haute couture collection. For this, Lalanne took body casts of the model Veruschka in her studio and used electroplating to create body jewelry that the models could wear like a second skin. In addition to two iconic busts, casts of the fingertips were created, which Lalanne processed into surrealist jewelry with ornate tendrils, sprouting leaves and flowers. The five casts presented here were in a German private collection from 1970 at the latest.
