Wilhelm Lutjens. '545' shelf, c1953. H. 132.5 x 149.5 x 29.5 cm. Made by Den Boer, Gouda, in the 1950s. Plywood, with beech veneer, beech.
A particularly successful example of timeless design of the post war era. Wilhelm Lütjens succeeded in creating a minimalist, low-key, elegant, almost Japanese design with the use of cheap and very lightweight materials like beech plywood and beech. It can be used as a wall shelf or a room divider.
