'Tennis ball bench' with prototype, 2004

H. 46 x 145 x 130 cm, prototype: H. 45 x 56 x 62 cm. Made by Atelier Remy Veenhuizen, Rotterdam. Chrome-plated steel rods, tennis balls.

Designed in 2004 for the Digital Depot of the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam (dismantled in 2008). The bench was being edited in a Mini-Series of five at a later date. This bench must be seen more as a piece of art than as a piece of furniture used every day. Provenance: The owner bought that bench directly at the designers'.
