Bronze relief, background with brown patina, relief polished. 34.0 x 39.2 x 0.5 cm. Numbered lower left: 000/12 (engraved), signed lower right: Max Ernst (incised). Number 000 from an edition of 12 (one of 3 Epreuve d'Artiste copies numbered 0/00/000) alongside an ordinary edition of 12 copies. It is the 'Relief en bronze V' from the series of twelve bronze reliefs engraved by Max Ernst with a specially designed signature, Edition manus presse, Stuttgart.

Provenance: acquired in 2023 at Galerie Hus, Paris.
